OUR NEXT EVENT AT

Thursday, March 21, 2019 - from 5:30-7:30 PM

Happy St. Pattty's Day

St. Patrick’s Day Corn Beef and Cabbage Dinner

All the food is provided for $10.00 per person at the door.
(No need to bring any additional food unless you so choose.)
Looking forward to seeing you there!

The minutes from our last meeting - December 13, 2018

  • Kenny Latimer called the meeting to order followed by the flag salute and applause of appreciation for Kenny Latimer’s service as Club President.
  • The minutes of November 15, 2018 were approved as submitted.
  • Jonelle Adams reported that there is $52,429.96 in the bank.
  • $1,547.55 was spent to pay for taking down trees from the property. The wood has been stacked.
  • The heat bill this month was only $65.96 due to the improved heating system.
  • A leak in the roof was discovered by Robyn Patterson who called in workers and it has been repaired. Replacement of the roof is advised for this summer.  The Board is looking into options.
  • Jonelle expressed appreciation to Corky who secured electricians to look at the knob and tube electrical wiring in the attic. It will be ripped out and insulation will be installed.
  • Profit from the oyster beds is $4,000 for this year.
  • It is anticipated that our Mason County property taxes will be $586 for the year. The low amount is due to the fact that in 2006, we applied for and received open land status. We could get a lower assessment for 2019.
  • Two club members will be selected to conduct an audit in January.
  • Jonelle Adams received applause for her fine service as Club Treasurer.
  • Kenny Latimer encouraged all club members to help with the responsibility of clean-up after meetings and events. Karen Schroeder also encouraged more participation from club members. Gretchen suggested that members could bring their own dishes and take them home after. Some discussion ensued.
  • Laura VanEtten encouraged participation and help with set-up for December 14th open mic night. Clam chowder will be served for $3.00.
  • Marilyn Olson inquired regarding the whereabouts of the gavel she purchased for the club. Kenny found it in the cabinet.
  • Robyn Patterson inquired as to what should be done with the remaining wood - whether it should be split or sold in rounds. Marilyn Olson indicated a desire to purchase it.
  • The meeting was adjourned.

    Respectfully Submitted,
    Mary Severeid
